Correction modes
|
|
|
IMSpellchecker can handle misspellings using one of the three correction modes.
This feature allows users with different level of typing experience
use the program with maximum convenience and performance.
- Manual.
When the manual mode is selected spellchecker simple underline possible misspelling, using wavy red line. You can right-click on the underlined word to get the list of the suggestions or add it to custom dictionary or to the ignore list.
- Intelligent.
In the intelligent mode, when you have typed misspelling, the program tries to find the best suggestion and replaces misspelled word automatically. If there is no suggestion for the misspelling, spellchecker just underline it with wavy red line.
- Interactive.
In this mode, if you have typed misspelled word, spellchecker displays the popup window with list of the suggestions. You can select right word from the list immediately. Also, you can add misspelled word to custom dictionary or to the ignore list.
The small disadvantage of this mode is interrupting of your typing process by popup window.
When the spellchecker works in the interactive mode or you have right-clicked on the underlined word,
the program displays popup window. You can select replacement for the misspelled word,
add it to the custom dictionary or to the ignore list.

Autocorrection
|
|
|
Autocorrecting technology replaces common known typos on-the-fly,
increasing your typing speed.
It uses a list of built-in corrections to detect
and correct typos, misspelled words, and common symbols.
For example, if you type teh plus a space, then Autocorrection replaces
what you have typed with "the".
You can also use Autocorrection to quickly insert symbols that are included in the built-in
list of Autocorrection entries. For example, type (c) to insert ©.
If the list of built-in entries doesn't contain the corrections that you want, you can add entries.
Another usefull features are capitalizing the first letter in the sentence,
correcting accidental use of CAPS LOCK key and two initial caps.

To prevent IMSpellchecker from questioning the spelling of words that aren't in the main dictionary,
you can use a custom dictionary. Custom dictionary is a list of words not in the standard dictionary
that you want the spelling checker to accept as correct.
You can add word to custom dictionary using spellchecker's popup menu.
Right-click a word with a wavy red underlines,
and then click Add to Dictionary.
